And some more waiting...

Hello,
Well history has taken place. No, I am not talking about the baby. She is 1 day overdue :( ....we continue to wait. Obama became the first African American president as of last night. The world was cheering, so were the streets of Boulder, and also Nathan and I. Pretty amazing. So just a few months until he takes office. Cool beans!!

Anyway, so as I mentioned in the afore paragraph, we continue to wait, and wait some more. We saw Dr. Jensen yesterday -- baby looks great as her mom and dad continue to be very anxious!! We scheduled a tentative induction date for next Friday, November 14th. We really hope we don't have to use this option, as it is definitely our last. We are hoping the baby will come on her own before then. All simplicities of life have really begun to challenge me. Walking, sitting, sleeping, and yes, even breathing. I feel bad for Nathan at night because as much as I hate to own up to it, I think I am snoring. :( I really can't help it! I am terribly congested! I feel like an infant myself too. I wake up every two hours; not to eat (well sometimes!), but to use the bathroom. It's lovely I tell you. I think overall that it's good the baby is waiting -- I think she is growing big. I am really hoping she's broken atleast the 7 pound mark-- it sure feels like it!!

We just got word about the status of our bid on the Ned house. For some reason, they are saying the need to do a 2nd appraisal. What the heck?! We put in our bid in mid-September! Can you tell I am just slightly annoyed? :) Plus, the agent we are working with is a little more than annoying too. Ask me sometime for more details if you'd like.

Nathan is here getting ready to work. He started working from home on Monday and will continue to do so until the baby comes. It has been nice having him here. Even though I try my best to let him just work and not bother him too much, I love having a lunch buddy :) He has been riding his bike the past few mornings at Betasso, which is on the way up to Ned. He didn't go today because it's the runners day only -- plus it really chilled off last night and this morning. It's suppose to be in the 40s/50s for a bit and kinda overcast. Sounds like Michigan! :)

Dave and Geri are coming here for a week next Tuesday. We are both really excited to see them. Then, Jen and Peyton will be here 11/21-11/30 and we get to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Can't wait! We are planning to stay here and cook some good eats and treats. Just really low-key. Possibly considering the Turkey Run- 5k-- Although really depends on the weather and the baby. We bought tickets for the 5 of us to go see the Nutcracker at the end of the month-- which has become a tradition of Nathan and mine. It's at the University of Colorado and it's very good. It really gets up into the spirit of the holidays :) I really am hoping that Peyton will get a kick out of it. We'll see. If not, I might have bring out the candy rations.

Let's see what else...Oh- My dad and Tina are coming December 4th-7th for a visit and that will be really nice to see them and have them out here. They have never been here--so lots on the agenda for show and tell--the baby being at #1. Then Ryan will come out the 17th of December and stay for a few days. So we really are lucky to have such great support from our family. I've really been looking forward to everyone's visits--it has really been helping me get through this S L O W waiting period.

I've got a busy day of silly errands ahead of me: returning a movie to Blockbuster, getting gas, going to the post office to mail Lynn's birthday gift (her birthday is 11/13), and I thought there was something else...hmmm. Exciting huh? I'm sure you are very jealous of my day. (Don't be!!) And, as you might guess, all of this will be done at a snail's pace due to my large condition :)

Well, I think that's all to report for now. Happy Wednesday to you all. We're counting down the days to your arrival ! !

Lots of love,
Katy
